Abstract
The robots used in nuclear applications need to be both reliable and radiation tolerant. As part of the European Commission's TELEMAN research programme a number of analyses were performed of different designs, combining a more conventional reliability analysis with an analysis of the radiation tolerance of the components and systems. The paper outlines the procedures of these analyses and shows a number of the results.
