Approximate methods for 3D overall calculations on light-water reactors

    Abstract

    The applicability of the different approximate methods used for the solution of the three-dimensional diffusion equation is discussed. The flux synthesis program SYNTRGN has been coupled with hydraulics and quasistationary burn-up treatment to be used for boiling water reactor calculations. Test calculations are presented.
