Abstract

Method described in the paper was used on board a research ship for determination of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn in manganese nodules. Besides the quantitative analysis of finely ground nodules, the semi-quantitative analysis of smooth surfaces and the distribution of the elements in the nodules were also investigated.
