Abstract
The climatic data which was surveyed from 1981 to 1993 in Beijing
was analysed to generate a representative year, a Test Reference
Year (TRY). This TRY consists of just one year of hourly data that
could yield the same simulation results as the long-term data,
thereby minimizing the computation need to assess long-term system
performance. It can be used as input data for the simulation of
the performance of solar energy and indoor climate systems. The
application of this TRY in the simulation of a solar domestic hot
water system is also presented.
