    Abstract

The paper describes an automated processing chain dedicated to retrieving ice velocity measurements from satellite SAR data. The processor is employed within the ESA Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Icesheets projects, and in the Danish PROMICE programme, and supports most spaceborne SAR data (ERS/ENVISAT/Sentinel-l/PALSAR/TerraSAR-X/COSMO-SkyMed/RADARSAT-2/ALOS PALSAR). The processor primarily employs offset-tracking but can also employ interferometry when applicable. The paper shows several examples of ice velocity products generated by the processor, and includes a comparison with GPS-derived velocities.
