An approach to a transparent self-healing meshed network

    Abstract

    A method of implementing a transparent self-healing meshed network is described here. In case of a cable break or signal detoriation, this network will perform protection switching without needing direct correspondance with the overlaying management system. This causes simpler network management and faster restoration.
