    Abstract

The control room operators' requirements for plant data and the presentation of these were investigated for the start-up of a power station boiler. The data were assumed presented by computer-controlled display in replacement of the existing control room instrumentation. Weight was laid on including the operators in evaluating the requirements for data and data presentation and on gaining experience with methods which could effectively aid and promote collaboration with the operators during this evaluation.
