Abstract
Three different models for calculating edge diffraction are
examined. The methods of Vanderkooy, Terai and Biot & Tolstoy
are compared with measurements. Although a good agreement is
obtained, the measurements also show that none of the methods work
completely satisfactorily. The desired properties of the perfect
model are discussed.
