    Abstract

This paper reports on the development of a SAR icemotion processing chain developed for the PROMICE project – a long-term program funded by the Danish ministry of Climate and Energy to monitor the mass budget of the Greenland ice sheet. The end goal of the SAR data processing is to output map-projected horizontal velocity components, along with the corresponding estimated measurement accuracies. The techniques considered for this purpose are differential SAR interferometry (DInSAR) and image-correlation methods (coherence and intensity tracking). This paper gives an overview of the processor’s architecture and implementation and discusses its performance on a testcase in north-east Greenland.
