Abstract
This simulation study investigates how different types of rule
bases affect the control of different types of plant. In Simulink
three nonlinear control surfaces have been tested and compared to
a linear surface. It is recommended to be aware of the shape of
the control surface, and carefully select a type that matches the
type of plant to be controlled.
