Abstract
A review is presented of recent advances in numerical modelling of local scour problems. The
review is organized in five sections: Highlights of numerical modelling of local scour; Influence of turbulence
on scour; Backfilling of scour holes; Scour around complex structures; and Scour protection around offshore
wind turbine foundations.
