This paper aims to present a framework for PLM composed by three business process (research and development, new product development and product accompanying and retirement) and two support process (configuration management and business process management). It is expected that this framework help companies worldwide in the process of value creation and continuous improvements in their competitiveness levels in line with the concept of sustainable development.
