    Abstract

    A program in BASIC for a desk-top calculator HP 9830A is described. The program allows calculation of cavity theory corrections according to Burlin's general cavity theory. The calculations are made by using tabulated values for stopping powers and energy absorption coefficients, stored either as coefficients to a fitted polynomial or as the actual table data.
