    Abstract

In this paper, we describe a novel lab-on-a-chip device for fast AIV screening by
integrating DNA microarray-based solid phase PCR on microchip. The device can
handle viral samples in an automatic way. Moreover, multiplex PCR and sequence
detection are done in one-step, which greatly simplifies the assay and reduces processing time from days to less than 2 hours.
