Abstract
We present a concept of a broadband IF amplifier based on experimental results obtained with a dc SQUID rf amplifier (SQA). The frequency range is broadened by using several SQAs, each one tuned to its own central frequency at both input and output; the numerical simulations are presented. A possibility of fine adjustment of the input impedance is numerically demonstrated in the range of 1-1000 Omega. The following parameters are expected for a three-channel SQA: central frequency approximate to4 GHz, bandwidth 1 GHz, noise temperature approximate to2 K, input saturation approximate to300 K GHz.(C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
