    Project Details

    Description

The construction industry is still among the most dagerous work places of all industries. Both the implementation of EU regulations such as the health and safety plan, work assesments and the present governments strategies for improvement of health and safety before 2005 has resulted in numerous activities in the industry. The implementation on company site level is, however, going very slow and shows a number of obstacles.
At the same time development of tools to manage the external environment and the quality of the product are rapidly evolving in the industry. These activities seem to push the focus away from health and safety precautions leaving it to a withdrawn position in terms of new thinking.
A project to develop an integrated management tool for health and safety has been designed. It aims at the middle-sized Danish construction company and at site level. The goal is also to produce an upgrated knowledge and theory about the health and safety on site as well as organisations of the environmental management.
