Project Details
Description
Phase modulated radio-over-fiber systems is an emerging research area. The goal of this project is to theoretically and experimentally study the transmission performance of phase modulated radio-over-fiber multi-channel transmission systems. The convergence transmission of broadband wireline services and high speed wireless signals with above 60 GHz carrier frequency is desirable in the next generation optical network. At the end of the project the aim is to achieve a concise assessment of the ultimate achievable performance of such systems. The timely generated knowledge in this project will contribute to extend the-state-of-the-art and enhance European excellence and competitiveness in developing the future communication network.
