    In 1998 started a new 3-years phase for the joint venture project between The Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, IABM and University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
    The project is funded by DANIDA and the aim is to enhance the research capability in the area of Wastewater Treatment in the Tropics and the use of models as a research tool.
    The main results of the first 3-years phase from 1995 to 1998 are, that a useful laboratory is established and that measure-equipment in connection with datalogger can be used in field studies.
    In the 3-years phase from 1998 to 2001, 2 Ph.D. students and several Masters will be graduated.
    The established Waste Stabilisation Ponds in the area of the University of Dar Es Salaam, will be provided with a Constructed Wetland plant. Design criteria for these plants for the Tropics will be provided. The project will proceed with training programmes and seminars.
