    Description

The turbulence in plunging breakers is described by numerical modelling. The flow field and the turbulence has been described by large eddy simulation, where the largest structures of the turbulence are resolved in a three-dimensional numerical flow model. The free surface and the overturning of the plunger are uniform in the shore-parallel direction. The study is now continuing with laboratory experiments.
