Project Details
Description
The development of novel homogeneous catalyst systems to manipulate inexpensive chiral substrates constitute an important challenge for fine chemical synthesis. The most abundant source of chiral compounds in the biosphere are carbohydrates. The aim of this research program is to develop novel transition metal catalyzed processes specifically designed to target carbohydrates - a renewable ressource.
