Thermal properties of rocks in Greenland – and their relevance for road construction on permafrost

Project Details

Layman's description

The project aims to understand how thermal properties of basement rocks in West Greenland (1) are distributed and (2) influence the thermal structure of the subsurface. This has implications for distribution of permafrost distribution and active layer thickness. These properties are important for construction.
