Description
The overall objective of this project is to analyze the conditions for the development of an economically viable and technically effective provision of engineering design services in China. The study presents an analysis of the influence of science and technology policy reforms and the transition to a market-oriented economy on the establishment of engineering firms, including important changes related to international cooperation and the utilization of new information technology. The project also examines how Chinese organizations become linked to international firms through joint ventures or other forms of foreign cooperation, and the role of the transfer of technology and organizational know-how from Danish engineering consultancy firms.
