Sustainable value chains: Aquaponics in Colombia (39511)

Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to facilitate the transition from open pond aquaculture of cachama (pacu) and pirarucu (Arapaima) to feed based production, ideally using locally available raw materials or by-products by implementation of recirculation technology, and aquaponics production systems. Furthermore, the aim of the project is to facilitate the transition into aquaculture by farmers by identifying social and economic barriers, and providing advisory support.
