    Description

    The sensitivity of standard microphones depends on the environmental conditions. The basic theory has been developed and described, supported by experimental results in Metrologia vol 36, 1999, pp 265-273.
    The original measurement on microphones type B&K 4160 and 4180 has been repeated using a faster technique and a higher frequency resolution. As a result the static pressure- and temperature coefficients for these microphones can be described by a 9'th order polynomium rather than a table.
    In cooperation with Brüel & Kjær, the same technique will be used for determining these coefficients for selected types of Working Standard microphones.
