Description
The chemical stability of of magnetic particles is of great importance for their applications in medicine and biotechnology. By use of Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetization measurements we study the kinetics of transformation of nanoparticles of magnetite to maghemite during exposure to air under ambient conditions and during exposure to different chemical treatments.
