Description
The aim of this project is to bring solar walls for concrete renovation to a proper professional level where an actual market development can start so that solar walls will be used and seen in connexion with other active/passive solar energy, traditional external insulation and building renovation.
The project includes the building of three fullscale testing solar walls.
The objects of the testing solar walls was to test:
1) Different techniques which can be used in solar wall constructions including the choice of design and components.
2) The effect by using of the individual components both with regaed to energysaving and comfort.
3) The architectural design including the construction, analysis of material suitability, operation and maintenance and also the occupants¿ reaction to the physical changes.
