Project Details

Description

This Global Environment Facility (GEF) project focuses on the objectives to accelerate adoption of national and value chain initiatives to control Emerging Policy Issues (EPIs), and contribute to the 2020 SAICM goal and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Within this project, the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) are collaborating toward further expanding the scientific consensus model USEtox to address near-field exposure for building products and plastic toys, drawing on expertise and data on Chemicals of Concern (CoC) and related alternatives from the scientific community as well as building material and toy sector supply chain information. Ultimately, this will help authorities and other decision makers and value chain actors in the building products and toys sectors tracking and managing chemicals of concern (CoC) in their products.
