Description
As it is Denmark uses up to 500.000 tons of salt for de-iceing the roads.
Therefore it is important to study the consequences of this salt on the environment.
The following has been studied: How much salt have in the recent years been spread and how large a percentage of this have percolated into the ground?
Which effect does the salt have on the ground water and how long time will it take before a posible pollution will be detectable?
Which effect does the salt have on the flora and fauna?
What are the cost for purchase, stocking, handling and spreading the salt?
