Project Details

Description

This project will develop and test a Dynamic Electrolyser Unit (DEU) with an innovative SOE technology (“AC:DC”) for efficient and dynamic hydrogen production for Power-to-X systems. A previously constructed 30kW DEU will be optimized to a 40kW version with an Elcogen module. Using Elcogen modules will prove increased vendor flexibility and robustness of the design. The optimized DEU will be integrated for testing at Syslab (DTU Risø) and dynamic hydrogen production. The project focuses on the part of the value chain where SOE stacks are assembled into units integrated into PtX systems. Lastly, a techno-economic analysis will be conducted, including the possible use of the 40kW DEU technology for P2X systems to determine possible implementation strategies within offshore wind farm clusters.
