    Project Details

    Description

The concept of allowing transparent transport of wavelength channel originating from a network segment build of equipment from one manufacturer through a network segment based on equipment from another manufacturer is described as “alien wavelength” (AW) support. The goal of this project is to evaluate the practical perspectives (both technical and economical) of introducing AWs as a service within the service-portfolio of telecom operators.
