Description
Product and production preparation is a research area covering research projects within process-/material selection, cost and environmental evaluation, manufacturing databases as well as CAD/CAM and NC-machining. The research is aimed to build bridge between manufacturing engineering and product development. The background is that many of decisions taken in the product development phase have a major impact on manufacturing, and it is therefore important that these decisions are taken based on suffucient manufacturing insight and understanding.
