Process-/material selection

    Project Details

This project focus on understanding the information requirement from the different participants within the product/production development cycle and on developing relevant information models. Understanding information requirements is done through empirical studies and by testing prototype systems and models. One way
of carying out such studies is by investigating the development work for existing products, e.g. by interviewing the participants. Another way is to collect the needed information, e.g. about cost and then present it to potential users.
Another important aspect of this work is the systematic and user oriented modelling of material, process and product data. Relevant information catgories as well as required detailing level and appropriate form are being investigated.
Emphasis is also put into establishing cost evaluation methods and data.
