Physics-Informed and Data-Driven Structural Health Assessment of Offshore Infrastructures

Project Details

Layman's description

Funder by the Synergy Instrument of Villum Foundation, the project will pioneer a rapid, cost-effective, and robust structural health monitoring and assessment system for a cluster of similar offshore structures. This is done by using sensors data from a few fully instrumented structures of the cluster while only limited instrumentation in the remaining many structures of the cluster is needed to assess the health of any structure. Physics-based models with knowledge about structural behavior and machine learning models, using vibration sensors data, will develop a health monitoring and assessment system with minimal cost and data burden and well-identified robustness.
