Optimized use of lumpsucker as cleanerfish in salmon farming - biology, welfare and efficiency in de-lousing (CycLus) (39601)

Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to resolve the issues surrounding the use of lump sucker as a cleanerfish in salmon aquaculture. Specifically, the project aims to obtain a better understanding of the species Cyclopterus lumpus biology and physiology, to identify welfare parameters for the species, and to assess its capacity to de-louse Atlantic salmon in cage culture.
