Description
The main objective is to establish a Nordic Network on the welfare of farmed fish.
The network will work as a discussion group with the following goals:
•Sharing expertise/knowledge on fish welfare among Nordic partners.
•Facilitate student exchange among Nordic institutions for training purposes.
•Spread advances on fish welfare and welfare optimization strategies through the organization of a Nordic workshop on fish welfare, to which industry and stakeholders will be invited.
•Collect information about the current status related to the management, monitoring practices and stress status of the welfare of aquaculture fish, across Nordic countries.
•Strengthen Nordic collaboration for applications to relevant national/international research funding calls.
