Project Details
Description
The present project deals with development of a virtual company and modelbank. The aim is for these elements to be presented in multimedia and on the Internet where they may form the basis of various teaching activities: Cases in course-itemised exercises, recurrent cases in several different courses or games where large or small parts of the company are to "act as an industrial company". The Logi Game developed at Department of Industrial Management and Engineering will supposedly be transferred (partly) to new media (Internet and multimedia) and will thus appear as elements in the modelbank.
The perspective of this project is partly introduction of new teaching concepts using information technology, partly establishment of distance education and internationalisation. In the latter field efforts are made to establish an international group comprising foreign universities whose departments can contribute to the development and whose students can participate in management games across the borders.
An example of use of the Internet in connection with new teaching concepts may be found on the Internet at the address: http://www.mbar.dtu.dk/~c937135/web/forside.htm (Danish) in the shape of a project game developed by a group of students during a project work. Other students in the Project Management course mean the game for use.
