Modular Engineering has the scientific goal of establishing a terminology to describe and capture the phenomenon of modularization, variety, and kinship.
The basic idea is to utilise the concept of modularization and better practices to structure design knowledge and expertise in the domain of pharmaceutical production systems and to create a tool which supports design from conceptual design to detailed engineering.
Modular Engineering will be developed to enforce the competitive position of the industrial partner; Novo Nordisk Engineering A/S.
