Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to develop a micro-scale SVAT (Soil Vegetation Atmospheric Transfer) model using data from the Danish EUROFLUX site Sorø Lille Bøgeskov. Presently the data covers four growing seasons of measurements in a closed beech canopy. To understand how carbon dioxide and water vapour fluxes depend on other environmental variables is an important question when modelling the global climate. Micro-scale models provide useful information for larger scale models. Important steps in this project are to understand which parameters are most important to the
canopy conductance and then to use the result to simplify an existing SVAT model.
