    Project Details

    Description

The objective of the project is to develop a prototype of a decision support system for the operational management of work operations in the field. In an agricultural context operational management concerns scheduling of work operations like combining, baling, ploughing or sowing. The planning includes an allocation of resources like man power and machines to jobs as well as a determination of the start and finish time for the specific operations. The criteria function is a maximisation of the total pay-offs associated with the execution of the operations.
The decision support system will support the farmer on decisions related to the identification and integration of relevant information used as a basis for the planning of work operations, specifically the harvesting operations, and the subsequent allocation of available resources and estimation of the work results.
