Methane concentration and isotopic composition in soil

Project Details

Description

Methane concentration in soil gas is measured by gas-chromatography in various depths. The isotopic composition (d(13C)) is determined by isotope ratio mass spectrometry. The results are analyzed in a model describing the soil as a methane sink with a narrow layer of methane producing material.
