The project deals with material models and experimental analysis of early age concrete. In the hardening process the concrete skeleton is created by chemical processes which develop heat. There is an intrigate coupling between the chemical processes, heat, temperature, moisture. The aim of the project is to establish experimental facilities to allow for controlled experiments which can test the mathematical models developed for concrete at early age. The interesting material properties are primarily stiffness, strength and creep.
