Land Privatisation and Registration in Latvia

The project has two main components:
Photogrammetry and Digital Mapping.
Improve the photogrammetric map production unit at State Land Service in Latvia with special focus on digital orthophoto production.
The project includes analysis of requirements for digital photogrammetric equipment and procurement procedures.
The establishment of an efficient production line for digital map products.
Development of specifications.
Training of stereo operators, regional staff in Latvia and key specialists at Land Cadastre Centre, State Land Service.
Investigate the current situation on national spatial databases and improve the situation concerning specifications.
Train Latvian specialists on digital and cadastral mapping, regional staff, forestry specialists.
Prepare for a plan for countrywide development of LIS/GIS.
