Description
The project concerned price optimisation of price monitoring and comparison services using statistical analysis. We examined how the conversion rates of certain products were associated with a number of explanatory variables and available market prices of certain competitors. In addition, we analysed the competitors' responses to the client's price changes.
Key findings
We identified numerous factors that could effect the conversion rates of certain products. Furthermore, we found evidence supporting a variety of hypotheses that the client had proposed. Finally, we gave some suggestions on how to model the price behaviour of the competitors,
