Project Details
Description
The project is mainly based on the experience and effort of the department of Electric Power Engineering, in the field of diagnostic methods for high voltage components. Included in this is an expressed wish by the Danish electric utilities for a further development and application of these techniques in order to be able to assess the condition of high voltage cables, primarily in the distribution grid. Therefore, the Danish utilities and the Department of Electric Power Engineering have decided to start a joint project, with the object to build a mobile system to assess the insulation state of HV cables, based on a fundamental cable study under laboratory conditions.
