Integrating Sustainability into Technology Development at Grundfos

    Project Details

    Description

The main goal of this project is to support the effective sustainability integration into product and technology development within manufacturing companies, on the basis of an in-depth action research with Grundfos. The project will develop a set of support mechanisms, including:

    – Sustainability screening tool for early-stage product and technology development, integrated with uncertainty analysis.

    – Trade-off under uncertainty framework for integrating multiple perspectives in the decision-making process of product and technology development. This framework may be integrated into the aforementioned tool.

    – Guidelines on how to effectively integrate sustainability into product and technology development considering sustainability screening, uncertainties and trade-offs. This will act as a user guide for the mechanisms described above.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE).
