Description
Research in a technology theoretical and innovation economic perspective of the technological conversion process presently taking place in the United States and in Russia. The project combines empirical analyses on business level in aeroplane and aerospace industries in the Los Angeles area in the United States and in the Perm area in Russia with a theoretical perspective consisting of:
· theories of technology as social construction especially focusing on the borderline between military and civilian technology
· an analysis of regional innovation systems focusing on the regional concentration of military production
· a network analysis of the military businesses on the borderline between the civilian and the military in some kind of a dual-use perspective
