Project Details
Description
This innobooster project deals with the development and testing of a new UV-associated disinfection systems and validate the potential application in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). The project consist of a development phase and subsequent test and verification of the disinfection unit.
The test will be performed in controlled, replicated pilot scale RAS over a prolonged period of time. The RAS will be stocked with rainbow trout in fresh and brackish water and a number of common and AOP related water quality variables will be monitored and analyzed. The test will show the potential disinfection capacity, screen for unwanted DBP and evaluate system and fish performance in treated vs. untreated control groups.
