Description
INDUBRAZE
In the project a combined numerical and experimental methodology for fast determination of appropriate coil geometry and position in induction brazing tube-to-plate joints of different ratios between tube and plate thickness and different combinations of the materials stainless steel, brass and copper, have been developed. An appropriate coil design and an approximate positioning are determined by numerical analysis. Required heating time, power and optimum position of the coil, are subsequently found experimentally by measuring the temperature development during heating using thermocouples mounted on both sides of the joint.
