Improved knowledge base for management of flatfish species in Danish waters (FORFLAD) (39667)

Project Details

Description

In this project, we aim to improve our knowledge for a number of flatfish species in Danish waters, and thereby to improve biological advice and sustainable management of the fishery. More specifically, our work focuses on improving our understanding of the distribution and biology of turbot, the distribution and migration patterns of sole and the distribution of plaice with a focus on comparing the perception of the status of the plaice stock from researchers and fishermen. Results and their implication to advice and management will be synthesized towards the end of the project.
