Description
The project "Impact of energy retrofitting on the indoor environmental quality of multifamily residential dwellings" was carried out at DTU Civil Engineering in the period 1.12.2014 to 31.12.2016. The purpose of the project was to carry out field measurements in multi-family dwellings in Slovakia, which have either been recently energy renovated or were still in their original condition. The significance of the renovation on the indoor air quality, occupant comfort and health was examined, taking into account the residents' behavior with regard to ventilation. Supplementary simulations have aimed to recommend solutions for improving the indoor air quality in renovated homes that were originally naturally ventilated. The project has included data collection on indoor air quality and resident satisfaction, analyzes of data on the operation of the buildings, as well as simulations using the simulation tool IDA ICE - Indoor Climate and Energy.
